Step 1) People demand healthcare, education, equality (objectively leftist policies) Step 2) Liberals in power ignore Step 3) Far right gains power but within the bounds of the system Step 4) Far right consolidates power Step 5) Far right infighting or external conflicts This cycle is timeless of course, but a complete cycle happens throughout 10-20 years in other countries (Turkey & Russia between 2000-2015, Hungary between 2010-2025, etc). USA goes through the cycle in accelerated mode, as always.
