Yeah, winters are the hardest time of the season each year, and you need to work really hard to prepare them and yourself on how they will survive it. There is a really interesting vlog at YT, I think is called "A Canadian Beekeeper", his methodology is pretty interesting, though the volume of colonies and honey he produces is also something to consider.
