search pi network app in the appstore by socialchain, It is a project from some stanford people that got mass adoption and people who can claim the airdrop is kyc, more of them, people who is not on crypto, they got millions of users in an app with a button, click the button every 24 hours to earn PI.. they made some good money from ads in the bear I guess.. it was 2 years ago.. then nothing.. then launched the other day.. and here they are.. surprised how they made to the top of the rankings

im not surprised, my suspicion is farmers are working with exchanges and whoever else is "investing" there's no way they have even 100k "users pressing a button daily" majority of it would've been farmed from the basement of call centres

could be but they also reached a great amount of people with their fomo referral system where you will be able to earn more if you have more friends using the app.. I am sure the number where inflated but we should not ignore that they also reached a great amount of people with just a button and some lazy roadmap

I think PI has been around since 2020 or before. I remember getting invitation to "mine" it and I said not because I didn't want to install spam apps on my phone. Now my friend who invited me claimed around $2K on her old phone lol

a group of friends did the same, I just met them the other day and we realized that we could have earn a great amount if we had continuing hitting the button, I got around 1000 pi and I has been 2 years idle.. I did it because I was a bit of an android dev by the time... and I realized that the app was doing nothing, just a button click, the word "mining" confused the people, it was a button, no real mining happening, just a button and a counter, need kyc and some other tasks to be able to claim

that's sort of my issue with it, handing over a kyc just to mine ads is kinda brazy but ppl gonna do whatever they want for money in theory it's great, I really like the idea. but there's solutions like worldcoin which are far more effective

well, worldcoin is exploiting the same mechanism, certainly two similar projects and I don't have 100% trust of any of them.. I will doubt about anyone asking who am I.. and if they want real docs or my dna.. or iris.. they should have a great explanation or a bigger amount of money.. that said, refused to use worldcoin and will never use it but may claim my pi airdrop.. (just for the money.. the network deserves the death after rejecting me as dev.. joke, they had a test and the test was wrong.. the right anwer must include "" as it was an string of text.. but those brilliant minds did a wrong text and refused to reply my email.. anyway, they lost the opportunity and I am grateful, became a eth dev and I am having the best time of my life as dev, thanks "pi", now I am more of "tau" 😂
