The United States is a collapsing empire. It took the western Roman Empire 700 hundred years to collapse. How long will it take us?

imo wholly dependent on the replacement of love for God (the world that is) for a desire for money 

there's a dichotomy that America once had but was lost somewhere around the time JFK had his brains blown out in front of the world 

American culture is ingrained worldwide and could be thought of as an echo of the Roman empire

both capitalism and religion were, there's something to working to earn what you need and giving back what you don't that was lost along the way

now people work to get what they're advertised by any means possible

Interesting perspective. It was definitely more in grained in our culture 50 years ago.
