I'm so easily sniped by homelabbing it's not even funny.
Every weekend I fight the same battle to not waste more time... but also, AI is pretty good at writing software these days... that should make a Jellyfin setup easier to maintain, right?!

Every once in a while a banger comes along that makes me stop in my tracks and regret that I didn’t come up with something so perfect

And honestly, thinking of the average person, it seems like they are going to get left behind.
Most people aren’t owners, they aren’t equipped to be owners, and they are happy/unknowingly being sucked into coasting through life / consumption / entertainment.
Maybe the right AI education tool will come along that could develop those agency skills in people by default?

For some reason this reminds me of 2020/21 Covid-era, where a significant portion of the zeitgeist was “Remote Work Is Here To Stay”
and the other side was “Yeah, no, big corps have real estate leases, capitalism/interpersonal competition will drive you back to the office”
What I’m feeling is something like: Yeah, AI is coming for knowledge work, these jobs and their tools are going to change. But maybe not as transformative as we think?

Crypto already lost the reputation battle. It’s been scammy and spammy for too many years.
And that’s beside the fact that you can replace crypto with [any underlying technology] - people don’t care, ex:
My mom doesn’t care if a website uses React. + at least React won’t steal your money!
A successful crypto app should never mention crypto.
If it has to be said, it’s in need of a rebrand. Some sort of moral phrasing shift, like startup -> small business, wallet -> account, etc

For anyone more well-versed in bootstrapping a social network:
Why did Farcaster move away from channels, but X is moving towards them?
Don’t they have the same problem re: onboarding users into their niche of choice?
Was it just timing, and Farcaster didn’t have the content to fill out niches, needing everyone to use the main algo?
