[still in awe and not sure how] a few weeks ago, my mom and i made it to everest basecamp in nepal 🏔️🇳🇵 skip to the end for one takeaway 👇

this was her dream and i gave it to her as a birthday gift. we arrived at basecamp on her birthday 💪🏽 she’s strong, bold, a little crazy. i’m so proud of her ❤️

we trained for 2 years and still felt unprepared. 10 days hiking, 7–8 hrs daily. rest. lodging was as good as it gets—but still a bit rough.

we wouldn’t have made it without sunil (our guide) and dipraj (our sherpa). the kindest, strongest souls. humbling to watch them conquer the mountain with such ease.

so many stories and lessons i’ll carry forever. but here’s the main one:

on day one, we wanted to quit. every day got harder. still, we pushed on day after day for 9 more days.

we have more to give than we think. incredible things happen when you persevere ✨
