Earnest Question: Why do we celebrate random windfalls on FC? Obv I understand the 1st order reaction of more money = good But is it tacit approval of some other kind of mechanism? Is it evidence that there’s so much value being captured there’s plenty to spare? Something else?

Just leaving a bear market primes the pump. In an industry know as much, or more, for its failures than successes. I can fee like it’s a loosing game. Managed to pick the right coin, oops you got fished. So we have to offset by celebrating random positives.

I think that luck plays a huge part in tech success. We all hope that we have the right product, timing and catalysts to get lucky for ourselves. But just being around lucky people makes it feel exciting and more likely we’ll get lucky ourselves. “Luck is close, so let’s celebrate” feels like the vibe.

Crypto is an “outsider” tech. Getting windfalls feels like evidence we are migrating to being the new “inside”
