Can u clarify, please, are L2 solutions like ZkSync are essential part of Ethereum ecosystem and what Ethereum is trying to be? Or are these interim solutions and Ethereum will go forward alone?

The question is, are these branches that will be cut off when they make the crown of the Ethereum tree or will they be part of a beautiful Ethereum tree?
