The moment "Vibe coding" became a meme it started getting used as an insult to new builders. I personally know coders who were downright offended at work I published because I didn't write it the old-fashioned way and used AI to help me. They were even more offended that the project was recognized by the ecosystem at the time. I understand this sentiment after spending decades learning code the hard way— but that's like photographers who spent years in darkrooms getting mad that digital cameras exist. "Vibe Coding" is the next evolution that minimizes gatekeeping for new devs.

I think they’re getting left behind. Even O’Reilly is coming up with a book on it… actively used at Google. Meta is about to publish their workflow too
