So, what is farcaster good for? I’d like to have more token, crypto talk and feel many from crypto twitter are looking for that too (just better than on tw where only a few get distribution) but Farcaster is mainly a colorful mix of random social media content. Would be fine for me if I’d get the crypto insights in the /crypto channel but now I mainly feel like I’m wasting time because I’m not into just another social media (even if it’s got some differentiation)

X is also a random mix of content :) at least here we have channels. I would embrace channels. They’re better than following hashtags, I think (and X hates them now). Fc can’t only be about crypto content though. That wouldn’t make for a fun network. Go look at primal as an example. I’m embracing the not just tech mix too

I’ve followed 300 crypto people on Twitter and see a lot of crypto content (and some bullshit us politics, top news). Here it’s harder to get crypto content. I intentionally don’t use Twitter or farcaster for anything else. I just want crypto. Obv long-term it’s good for farcaster & most users to also have a lot of other content. Channels are definitely good to show different sides of people and go deeper into interests if you’re here for that :)

Have you checked out the cura miniapp and just started streaming some channels? Here’s the crypto one for reference. I suspect if you follow a few, you’re basically getting custom feeds. Then use farcaster itself to keep up with everyone else.

I did all that but they are simply not good or low engagement 🙃
