Statists and communists generally thrive in zero-sum environments through populism, demagogic narratives, and coercion. Up until now, this has been the perfect environment for them. But now, politics is evolving into tech and networks in a new frontier. And in such an environment, the winners are the builders.

i just don't have time for tribalism in crypto rn don't get me wrong - sometimes tribe differences are important but we have bigger problems there are powerful people trying to choke out this entire movement - arresting our devs, suing our companies we only win if we unify

Worldcoin is a great example of a parallel institution. Crypto digital-native ID for the internet era. Orders of magnitude better than the fiat ID. An ID that pays you, it's global, private with zk, works as a bank account, and so on. Now they are launching an L2 on Ethereum. The Network is coming!

There's Gary Genslers everywhere. It's not just a U.S. thing. There's a deep government instinct to expand and control that free people everywhere need to fight. We have to keep the internet open and free.

The US wants to maintain its ability to freeze bank accounts and sanction enemies and rivals and will not give it up for stablecoins. But they also can't make crypto illegal without going down the path of full autocracy. I wonder what they'll do.

This is bad. Crypto is not just trading tokens, it's part of a broader ethos of freedom and privacy and keeping power in the hands of the little guy. These values unfortunately continue to be under attack, globally. https://twitter.com/LizaGoitein/status/1781546937675657392

The evolution of the graph shows the history of disagreement and consensus in a way. I’m curious to see if these dynamics would play out as I imagine. Like if people would mostly undelegate for single-issue type things and then re-delegate to get out of the way.

The graph is nearly the same as before but now you get some of your delegates through this one node through which you used to have a disagreement with. Now you have your decision making power back, but you know that this one node is important and to maybe review certain decisions with them.
