I have a friend from way back that I've known for 25+ years now and he's high up in the U.S. Air Force. We don't see eye to eye on domestic politics and often not on international politics either, but I've always trusted him more than anyone else when it comes to matters related to information regarding military operations.

That said, he is echoing what Marco Rubio has said tonight in so far as Israel acting unilaterally in its attack on Iran. He says Israel has one of the best militaries in the world and has been planning tonight's attack for years.

I was curious about the F-35 and it's use tonight. He says he guarantees Israel used it tonight. He agrees Iran has  significant drone and missile capabilities but says that is mostly in terms of numbers and not in terms of accuracy.

Woah, isn´t F-35 only meant for use by the US military?

They have some proprietary stuff in the US version

Then they gotta be keeping even more advanced aircraft for themselves - ain´t a military buff by an means so this is interesting .

The US has sold F-35 to Israel, a number of European countries, Singapore, etc
