It is unavoidable that most AI-generated media will be slop, similar to how most photos taken by the sum total of our smartphones probably don't have any artistic merit. 

But taking side this dimension of proportionality, I would say that there are still people using AI-generated media in very interesting and meaningful ways, especially in art. 

An example would be the art projects that @fellowship curates. Another example is @botto and @bottodao, an initiative that attempts to incubate a "decentralised autonomous artist" harnessing both AI and crypto tools.
