question. are guided meditations nonsense? how can you get to the place of stillness and no-thought if someone is yapping in your ear? personal experiences and preferences welcome

It certainly helps new people learn how to do it, what’s its about and what’s isn’t about. I did it for a while then stopped as I didn’t think I needed it anymore. Recently came back to it and discovered more aspects of meditation and cool insights. Try it out, headspace is a great app to test them out. Might be for you or it might not. The point is there’s not a ‘right way’ of doing it.
