I have become very cynical about the crypto space. 

In 2014, I felt like we were all working together to change finance, to have currency owned and operated by the people. 

I don’t know what we’re doing now, but it’s not that and I’ve certainly lost touch with that ethos. 

Lately, I’ve just been trying to let go & have fun onchain. That seems to be working, but feels way less impactful and less sticky.

Big boys in control now. Co-opted by big tech and tradefi.

(Why farcaster coins don’t do well. Not enough left/right spectrum. Too much bell curve middle.

I feel you. I'm so new but feel like I've been through the whole cycle of ups and downs already several times.

ETHGlobal didn't do much to help my feelings around this, but thinking on much longer time scales seems to help.

I think there is a fundamental, civilization-enduring technology that we're all playing some part in.
