Doesn’t surprise me. Let’s see if he caves or not; I’m (wishfully) thinking he won’t, given he doesn’t have much time left in his term anyway.

Yes. They are saying he’s forcing rates on the market. And it’s Mortgage Lenders who’re suing for an answer from him. 

Mortgage demand is sliding really bad threatening a housing price fall & it’ll get worse when they refinance the x Trillion in debt to refinance this year with much higher rates.

but that’s a good thing. It forces home prices down to places where Americans can afford homes even at high interest. 

Powell is an absolute legend at this point in my book. He’s the last independent federal reserve chairman though. So enjoy the remaining 10 months of his tenure before Trump installs a new one.
