the more time I spend in crypto, the more my social circle begins to consist of only people I’ve met here people you know irl simply can’t relate, and generally speaking won’t hide their disdain for something they missed out on friends of shared interest > friends of proximity

So true! And it’s also hilarious, I have online friends that I can safely send 3-4 figures back and forth between without worry, yet I’ve had IRL “friends” I’ve known for 20-30 years that I’ve lent money to that have flaked on me. My crypto friends have never though, go figure.
