i've been working *a lot* on regulating my nervous system for the past 8 weeks i was having several panic attacks a day + waking up a ton throughout the night + night sweats + unable to sleep in past 6:30 no matter what time i went to bed the past two days my body has finally let me sleep in (8:30 and 9!!), which means my cortisol is no longer spiking unnecessarily overnight and my parasympathetic nervous system is starting to retake dominance (rest and digest vs fight or flight mode) big signal that all my regulation work is finally working 🥳 ✨

So glad things are getting better. I need to try some of the stuff you’re doing. I fall asleep but wake up like 20 times. Doc gave me meds but I’d like to avoid them

sometimes you need meds to just get you over that initial hump so your body can at least have a baseline level of rest! i've had to do that a couple of times - accept some pharmaceutical help for 2-4 weeks just to get out of crisis mode but i totally agree, i prefer to avoid them if i can find ways to mould my lifestyle to be more supportive to my specific needs! let me know how it goes :)
