as a kid, i used to tell my mom i'd kill myself at 27.
not the most sane thing for a 10 year old to say, but honestly, the fact that i was never afraid of dying was kinda based.

now i'm 28, and living the happiest life i've ever known.

sometimes you have to let your past self lay to get to a better self.  This has happened several times to me.   I'll die before X.  then before X.  then before X.... it wasn't moving a goal post in hindsight.  it came true Everytime.... it's just a new me since those times.  cheers to living your happiest life.  hope you're proven wrong and even more happiness is coming in the new years

that's so true, we have died many times already, and will continue to do so as we keep living more and more.
