I thought farcaster was striving towards this also?

I guess what I don't understand is:

- why build something so similar to farcaster?
- why splinter the community into smaller pieces?

I understand tipping is not sustainable, but idk how we got HERE.

know how tipping could be sustainable... if you made an ecosystem of things people WANTED that provided VALUE in exchange for funds and a percentage of those go back into the ecosystem... then grow the USERS to those tools + fun so it keeps coming in and growing in the right way... and let that fund the free money drops for users etc.  but.. ya know I'm probably wrong and a social app is better.  *Shrugs*

yep.  I think it has all the building blocks to be the platform they need vs building something as a sidecar... but you could do Degen stuff on Farcaster + off and fuel the ecosystem of the token to allow tipping to continue endlessly.  I think too much friction to the fun and too much focus on worrying about farmers made it meh.
