When you’re at the casino table, every time you roll the dice or spin the roulette wheel, it has absolutely nothing to do with what happened before. People trick themselves into thinking past events dictate the future. Or hint at what is likely to happen. But alas that’s not how physics works.

It’s really odd how people still think this, and it can be for sports also. “He’s due for a hit” “He’s due to make his next shot” Over the long run, stuff will average out but some hot and cold stretches will probably come along the way
