One of the most powerful tricks for managing a Very Online presence is judicious use of the block button. I have a liberal one strike policy. If you are attacking someone else or clearly posting spam, you get blocked. Life is too short to expose yourself to the endless personal problems of people on the internet.

This is the best way to handle these types of things. If someone is posting ignorant things even once, it should be enough to know you don’t need that energy in your life.
