It's nice to let your cats roam freely for many reasons, but I always find it interesting to see where they pick to chill, or who they chill with, when they have total freedom of movement. It's a different lifestyle in many ways to a "strict" catwalk with a leash. But only because these guys came from the streets and are used to free range life. I would never take that away. I try to make them cosy as possible in our backyard, with plenty of plants of varying height, and furniture of various kinds to relax on. (I sent my original cast too quickly and forgot to add this.)

Mine just follow me when I take the dog, turning it into a dual walk! I wouldn’t want them following me if I still lived in London, I would have actively discouraged it. Luckily these days I live waaaaaay out in the country.

True, although we live around London! But it totally depends. I wouldn't want my cats straying too far either! I'd love if our cats followed us out, but they're not the type.
