have you ever filed a patent for anything you invented? Is it worth it? weird when my natural route would be to FOSS, but at the same time, one has to be smart about this shit.

so the problem si to tighten it up i need to make broader claims (so its not easy to n+1 my proposed system) to skip around it, but at the same time that makes my claim less unique, I guess i do need some counsel before even considering applying/drafting lol ty for the feedback

i took a platform to my vertical that had a core, unique process. It was my process, my methodology, and my value prop was speed compared to other’s industry attempts. So one of my patents was a process patent that outlined my methodology. We baked the process into the platform and went to market. volume of throuput was our value prop at market entry.

think of it like mvp for the idea framing so you can widen the claim. go simpler to go wider and unique. find the core wow factor and that is the patent. doesn’t have to be the entire platform. Could also simply be a process patent as well.
