Today’s intrusive thought in realtime: The Clipse rollout to this album has been immaculate but what’s most interesting to me is that they didn’t make a single effort to capture a new (read: younger) audience. Every interview they chose (Ebro, Elliott, GQ, etc), every clothing collaboration they did (BBC, Carhartt WIP, etc), & every content move (Colors, Tiny Desk) catered specifically to their already existing audience. Interested to see how this translates to streams.

Hadn't thought about that at all. Does that mean Apple Music is Gen X and Spotify are Millenials / Gen Z ?

Any mention the ‘Clipse’ (and sometimes Pharrelautomatically brings me to a frozen moment in time, walking down to Queens Blvd. to pick up a ‘vanilla dutch’ and a box of munchkins from Dunkin’ Donuts for that day’s after school (working at Chinese toy company though) and ‘Grimey’ listened to ‘Grimey’ for the first time. *Also, most of my good leads on new music are from spotify via @farcaster Shout out to @pugson @olisplan @zinger
