Purple’s goal is to proliferate and expand the Farcaster protocol and ecosystem.

I’m a bit confused about the funding request for FarCon.

I would love to support the conference, but it’s unclear how the money will be used. 

Is it for venue costs? Hackathon prizes? What is the bit about travel and childcare? 

I would suggest including more detail and reapplying.

Really good swag can run 3-10k easily depending how many units are needed. Imagine farcon will be a couple hundred?

Let's assume swag unit cost is $50.

And 20% (1E) goes to helping based community attend

Then, so 4E = $10K / 50 = 200 attendees

I don't know approx con size but thats how it plays out!

Totally reasonable that that’s the amount but how are we supposed to vote in favor without the organizers providing the details?

What you just wrote down is called a "budget" and normally the people requesting a grant should provide one.
