haha just by contacting the hotel directly, but initially the room we wanted (that we could afford) was already reserved, so they offered us a more expensive room. when we didn't reply they messaged me again saying that they also had another room, but it was labelled as a 'single' room (for one person) which is why they didn't offer it initially. turns out the room still has a queen size bed LOL and is WAY cheaper than what we initially wanted so we were so happy it worked out better!!

The last time I was in Italy I was upgraded in a room with a better view and bigger bathroom per arrival. Felt so good 🤣
