Tipping really is the last thing FC should have added. It makes a lot of sense for a social network. But timing is important. Right now it might create social debt because you know the people you tip. Tipping only makes sense when there are a lot of anons tipping their heroes to show some love.

(I also tip from time to time cause DWR says I gotta use my wallet and I have some USDC, but I also donβt want people to feel they gotta tip back because they simply donβt have to)

100% you should NEVER feel pressured into tipping. I see no problem with tipping folks who genuinely engage with me. I benefit from their engagement in more ways than one. I pay back with my engagement + just the tip.

A like and a response from all you guys is much more worth than any 1 USD tip. I am still sure that social debt is created with tipping and that people tip because they feel they have to and right now itβs likely net negative.

Such an interesting topic. Thought about this a lot and the hierarchy of currencies in FC and when they need to be implemented and what they do to a community (likely, based on my assumptions). Basically @ + like + reply + recast Then FC paying rewards Then Tipping FC needs to embrace crypto and its integrations to create a USP, so a wallet and native sending are great features to attack older SNs. But you need a certain scale to make these net benefits imo.
