Another Bristlecone Pine for Sunday. It was totally silent up there on this high altitude windy ridge. These trees are very interesting in how they have adapted to thrive in harsh environments: high altitude, very cold, windy and very dry.

Thanks, Brandon! Have you visited the ones in CA, near Bishop? I haven't, but would like to go. I visited Bishop only in the winter, which isn't a great time to visit those trees.
