That was the sweet cheese he used to lure the young prophet to his end. ‘God said’ That is the perfect tool used for manipulation by a few. Once it drops, the people become scared to question the veracity of it. ‘God said you should be my wife,’ says the randy brother who is entranced by the sister’s bum. ‘God said you should buy me a car,’ says the young pastor who has decided not to work but engage in ‘fool-time’ ministry. ‘God said you should not question the man of God,’ says the young minister as he unzips the brassiere of the fellowship sister who still offers a weak attempt at fighting back. ‘God says you should never talk to your family again,’ says the lady prophet as she attempts to separate her young convert from her family and squeeze all the resources she has. ‘God says you should stay and keep serving,’ says the old man of God as he tries to stop his young firebrand minister from fulfilling his potentials. It is always ‘God said’ innit? It is always the go to phrase for shutting down every form of human reasoning. And the bad actors never encourage others to seek for confirmation from God. Dear friend, Even as you listen to a myriad of ‘God said’ today, kindly verify before you are deceived into walking in disobedience. Kindly go and verify from the real source so you do not become a victim. Kindly go and verify for God has democratized access to Him.
