I watched the seasoned angler as he fished.
From afar, I watched his routine which never changed.
First, he painted the frozen maggots in red dye.
Then, he slowly put the hooks in them.
He took a swig from his bud light and wiped the stain with his hand.
He took out some moulded baits and put them on other hooks.
Some baits were tiny little fishes
The last baits were live maggots gotten from a container containing soil which he brought with him.
After the hook came the waiting.
The man threw his hook in the river and waited.
For hours, he waited until the prime prey, bluefish tuna, came around.
Then, in one go, the waiting paid off and the fish was caught.
I watched the seasoned deceiver as he fished that day.
From afar, I watched his routine which has never changed even from the garden of Eden.
First, he painted his sinful toys to look more attractive.
He labeled sinful acts with words that made them sound less sinful.
Fornication became ‘one little fling’
Lies became ‘temporal withholding of truth’
Unforgiveness became ‘giving the same energy back’
Non-commitment and self-worship became ‘self love.’
Then, he slowly put hooks in his bait.
He put hooks in the doctrines he created to decieve the faithful.
The doctrine of ‘once saved forever saved’ was used to hook the believer into a cycle of sin.
The excessive doctrine of ‘prosperity’ was used to bait the believers into seeking God for what they could get.
The doctrine of ‘saved by works’ was used to bait the believers into acting like their works saved them.
Another bait was the excessive doctrine of ‘rhemas and realms’ which hooked some into chasing visions and encounters from angels.
Another bait was an excessive emphasis on ‘hating prosperity messages’ which made many treasure poverty and see themselves as better than others.
The enemy took a swig at his bottle of blood while he fished.
Then, he threw his bait in the waters and waited.
He waited for the believers to become weak from doing God’s work.
He waited for the ones who found solace in staying away from the gathering of the brethren.
He waited and baited the ones who felt secure and satisfied with the knowledge they had.
He waited for those who thought they had known his strategies and became lax.
He waited and baited them all. 0 reply
