Always surprised how lazy BD people are in trying to use a call as a way to pitch whatever they want. Send a 1-3 slide deck in the intro email to make it clear what you want.

My take: many BD folks are stuck in their old ways and lack creativity. On deck, I've noticed many colleagues hesitate to share that info ahead of time, worrying they'll have nothing left to discuss over a call - a poor excuse for the inability to establish rapport and go deeper into the problem. I'm in sales π
