Imagine each NFT community had a group of mods. And when those mods like your post, you get a custom NFT.

Now each community can optimize a different metric besides popularity!

For example, in a proof-of-workout community you must post workout selfies to earn workout credit NFTs.

First took this as negative but now thinking you’re just talking about using the protocol to develop a specific idea from communities.

Yes. It makes communities useful. You aren’t just there to hang out with people with PFPs. You are optimizing a long term metric that’s valuable to you.

Self improvement communities. Directional, unlike the entropy of social media. Compounding interest every day.

Yeah, you need the NFTs for a moderate scale community to keep score. Each individual NFT is a small thing but when hundreds or thousands are awarded in a community, there’s real signal.

Even Little League records balls, strikes, walks, and runs. Keeping score helps keep people on track.

Yeah totally agree. I just though the things you started with already describe the current direction of Farcaster community, except without the “billions” (or millions or w/e) of NFTs. 

I think the proof-of-X can happen in smaller communities without the bloat of tech but to scale it it needs what you say.

This paints the world of globally scaled communities instead of local scaled communities.
