The underlying phenomenon here is that the Internet is becoming the global commons. Even as countries go nationalist and socialist, the Internet represents global capitalism and global democracy. Because anyone can trade with anyone, and anyone can upvote anyone. Increasing the size of this common market is the rational thing to do from a capitalist standpoint and the ethical thing to do from a democratic standpoint. All nodes are equal, on the Internet. They can now choose their own monetary policy, contract law, identity, and dispute resolution. And they are treated equally under rule-of-code. That’s what a peer-to-peer network means.

You're absolutely right, and I think these concepts can be reflected in a social network like Farcaster, because it’s a complete package of Web3 within itself.

Facts Brother. And from my 10 years of fading crypto and my 6 years of being a crypto freak and NFT creator, I have learned that most citizens of any country don’t align with their government’s policies. Yet align with most citizens of other countries that have very different government policies.

True peer-to-peer networks need peer-to-peer value exchange - without bridges, banks, or middlemen. @reality-network dropped a demo of native cross-chain atomic swaps to show what that looks like in action: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C2apLWXdtsM

‘Freedom of speech’ gone universal? Depends upon what exactly do the land lords have to say. More importantly what do they literally have done, and not have done, about it. And their chosen perspectives of value is important, as typically enhancement and preservation of land and inhabitants is involved.
