Why is everyone here suddenly so into matcha? What happened to all the coffee lovers and their espresso machines? 👀

The crash on matcha isn’t as huge as coffee!

We listen and don’t judge but honestly, I’m not a fan of matcha. I drink straight coffee five times a day, and I just can’t imagine replacing it with anything else (especially since all that coffee-is-bad-for-you talk has long been debunked)

Yeah it was kind of weird (culture shock) for me because matcha in Japan is usually served in hot water and very diluted or paired with (anco or chocolate) sweets. There’s rules to this sh!t. Seeing blueberry / strawberry extranvaganza in a straw cup is very western. Basically Starbucks is the only place you would ever see anything resembling that in most of Japan (minus the fruit glop)

It’s not about the drink. It’s about the aesthetic 😌
