I actually really love how america has this deep level of culture of people (in this case, both the driver and the company execs) willing to be disobedient to authority in service of higher principles

Apart of the American Identity, regardless of our diversity, is a hatred of government & authority. It’s deeply ingrained. Which is why I’m often confused that we continue to hand more and more power to institutions. 

But human behavior is contradictory.
