Some days ago I came across a term: “bias generosity” It means we slowly stop appreciating the people who stay with us. A maid who’s been around for 3 years might make mistakes -so we hesitate to give her extra😐 An employee who struggles sometimes, makes mistakes but sticked with us for 3 years - we stay skeptical😪 But a vendor we just met, who smiles warmly?💙 We might hand them $50-$100 just for being kind in that one moment💜 Maybe it’s because we don’t see a stranger’s flaws… but we’ve memorized the flaws of those close. It’s easier to be generous to someone new. the goal isn’t to stop being kind to strangers💛 But maybe real kindness is this: To still offer grace to those who’ve walked beside us - through ordinary, imperfect days💜 🙌 what do you think abt this?👀

Absolutely agree. Kindness sees no barriers. It just is. It shouldn't change your bias for the people you know better now vis-a-vis newer people.
