I largely avoided the Club World Cup. Only watched the final. It's a silly tournament and no amount of prize money will change that I also didn't watch it when my club Liverpool won it a few years back Nice title for bragging rights, but it is a silly tournament

Maybe the new format makes more sense, especially considering that the Champions League winners used to join in semifinals or quarterfinals. Drafting them in groups will for sure create a more balanced competition and enhance the overall excitement.

One thing I do like is the 1 in 4 years format, but again, player burnout should be considered. FIFA is looking for quick bucks atp

I don't think it is silly tho, the clubs have been champions in their various league, the club world cup was the right place to see which league in the club has the best tactics and talent on a global scale, I just feel there wasn't much public view because Ronaldo's team wasn't there

No one cared about the previous iteration of the club World Cup but this one will take some time to build legitimacy around. Given the prize money at stake, it was actually refreshing to see clubs giving it a fair shot, unlike the previous iteration where clubs just didn’t care if they won or lost. Will only evolve and become more legit from here.

Well I think this year’s CWC had a lot of enthusiasm to it, there were lots of big teams and the PR was definitely good. Tho I didn’t watch most matches except the finals which was splendid. I guess Chelsea Fans are in for the bragging rights based on the fact that they came as underdogs. 😉
