i am optimistic the end-state of crypto custody will be superior to the current state of mail clients, though (where you can arguably no longer run your own server bc of spam issues..)

The more the $ sized self- custody, the more it feels akin to having nuclear code responsibility. public / private signature schemes need to evolve for onchain to be the next online

Multisigs, enclaved keys, step in right direction but whitelists, directories, paymasters worth exploring as ossified railways and new protocols
