I'm not sure. Netanyahu clearly feels quite emboldened and determined to use very aggressive force to attempt deterrence. His statements trying to goad the Iranians into overthrowing the government seem to indicate that might be his goal. I don't know enough about Iran and the government to predict if it will work.
