made a fully interactive, full-stack personal project yesterday, without using React, Typescript, Tailwind or even JSX.

Feels like raw dogging front end hehe.

It has components, (delightful) loading states, progressive enhancement, and a ton of other comforting dx stuff.

But not thinking about React components (and the layers of state menagement, render cycle control, etc.) gave me mental space to invent a new data structure. 

Which is cool. Way cooler than figuring out how to get ~10 components to be most efficiently aware of the user. That's a well-understood and solved problem (not with AI vibe coding tho!!!)

it's the BUHDAH stack: bun + unocss + htmx + daisyui + alpine + hono
		
and no builder! Claude kept suggesting to use Vite or esbuild so much, I finally relented and asked it to show me how. Holy fack what a mess of a 10-minute diversion.

Typescript on the backend, JS on the frontend. I do miss end-to-end type safety, but it just requires old school careful attention to detail (on a tiny project).

kinda interesting to be old school cuz bun unocss even htmx are on the very modern side of things.
