be careful of people who insult others because of their identity (skin colour, culture, gender, sexuality)

even if someone hurts you or does something you perceive as insulting, it doesn’t give you carte blanche to attack their identity and things they can’t change about themselves 

it is okay to be hurt, but it is not okay to then sling derogatory terms back at them

Yes, sadly a lot of people judge others by there identity, instead of their actions, and then it becomes very easy to declare those as lesser human beings. It is sad that we haven’t developed to see past identity and judge people on their behavior instead.
