Ever feel like you’re not good enough, even when you’re seeing results? That’s imposter syndrome, and we all go through it at some point. I’ve felt it, especially lately as I’ve been building something of my own. How do you handle it when it shows up? Personally, I try to remind myself of what I’ve already accomplished and how much more I want to do. Let’s use the topic of the day to talk about ways you can push past self doubt and deal with imposter syndrome.

I felt imposter syndrome so much during grad school and soon after. Once I realized what I was doing was respected by others it went away but it took years! It’s all mental, everyone was an imposter when they first were starting, even experts.

I feel it a lot with success cause I’ve never been into social media, I’ve never been in a large community (let alone run one), and especially when I hear criticism. All things I’m trying to get better at—hence this thread. :)

That makes sense, the /data speaks for itself. I’m the same way, not into social media but I DGAF what anyone thinks of me and that has served me well. Haters gonna hate, just do you and it’s clearly working.

Well I definitely do have that going for me. I don’t GAF what anyone thinks of me, but I do want people to find value in what I offer. Kind of a weird line to walk.
