I’ve never been to a music concert and not come out least much more enthusiastic about, if not an outright fan of the artist, even if I was neutral on them before Concerts have always been performances in their own right, but modern tours are absolute marathons infused with incredible production quality and audiovisual tech, on account of the music industry shifting from selling records to selling tickets And I have yet to meet anyone who doesn’t carry lifelong memories of a concert they’ve been to

There is this Belgian band. I was not a fan of their music. Too commercial and so on. Then I saw them live on a festival, and I was hugely impressed by their craftsmanship. The core band, and the other musicians on stage, were simply very freaking good. And that was a turning point for me. I found a respect for them I did not have before. Still like them. Saw them live two years ago. A couple of decades after that first experience. They're still great.
