many years ago, before having kids, i spent over a year in vietnam (hcmc) and recall thinking it crazy how most people zipped around on motorbikes, 50 to 150cc, in heavy traffic, with up to as many as 4-5 passengers (families across 2-3 generations!) onboard, mainly due to being more practical and cheap despite being clearly dangerous and so the karmic irony is not lost on me that i now regularly ride around /paris on an electric cargo bike, shuttling my kids to and from their various extracurricular activities amongst the many many bad drivers on the roads here...

In the category "how Dutch are you", riding an electric cargo bikes puts you right up there next to wearing clogs or sniffing tulips all day. One of us. One of us. One of us.
