At 5 PM today, I decided it was the perfect moment to cut out the old silicone seals in the bathroom and redo them even though I’ve never done it before.  

It’s already 9 PM, and I still want to finish this today. DIY optimism meet reality. God, help me!

lmao, touché. I think the same, while I'll try most things I think I can handle, I set the bar much lower for myself than for hired help.

I've actually got to do similar in the coming months: scrape out all this silicone in one of our showers and re-do it (for like the 3rd or 4th time)... because I didn't apply it thickly enough.

But at least if I’m paying someone to do it, and they’re better than me but not perfect, any flaw annoys me.  
When I do it myself, I can even live with bad results and might not even notice them 🤣
