Felt very underwhelmed by this book. Just finished. Has anyone read?

I liked this book a lot but it wasn’t my fave of his!! The suspense from all the world oddities in the beginning paired great with his slow style. the end was heartbreaking because id grown attached to the characters, and especially the relationship between kathy and tommy. Very “glad to be alive” book for me

I did really like that it wasn't clear what the main idea was until halfway thru, the build up was nice. I just wanted more plot I think. The tommy/kathy love story could have gone on longer imo. What is your fave book of his!?
