Yesterday was really lovely… Spending time with women feels so fulfilling and grounding I don’t quite know how to describe it, but only from another woman can I receive the kind of support and deep understanding I truly need

Maybe, just without the romantic undertone. I saw that film a long time ago, and as far as I remember, it mainly raised the question of whether men and women can be just friends. So this phrase doesn’t really apply to same-gender friendships But if I misunderstood what you meant by your comment, please feel free to elaborate

Ahh… I should’ve been clearer. I took your point about deep connection to mean it’s tougher across genders. I was thinking that it might be because that Harry & Sally tension across genders is always looming. Like there’s a sword of Damocles hanging over the relationship. But that could be old thinking.

In reality, the dynamic between women and between women and men is fundamentally different. It’s not a bad thing it’s just different. No one will ever fully understand a woman’s behavior, mood, or emotions better than another woman (I assume men have something similar too but for them this understanding seems more shaped by social factors, while for women it’s more emotional Though of course that’s just my personal observation nothing scientifically proven)

Beautifully described from the start of your cast to the finish. I kinda understand this from marriage. But will admit I’ll probably never fully appreciate the dynamic. Makes sense the way you describe it. And very cool that you shared.
