We pass so many people on the street or on the road every day and we don’t even get to know their hopes and dreams and their desires what they wanted for breakfast who their childhood crush was how they felt when their mom got sick it’s actually pretty crazy that I don’t even know their name or their life story

I take my time with people. 

I often sit in a coffee shops and wait, just enjoying the sounds and the taste of my coffee. Over the years, I’ve lost count of how many strangers have shared their stories with me, most just needed to be heard.

I have noticed that for many people it is easier to speak from the heart to a stranger than to someone close. I wonder why. 

There is a quiet, magnetic energy that brings two people together in those moments. While I listen, I sit with the question: Why did this person come into my life today?

The answer always arrives. I met some of the most incredible people through this practice.
