I will never DM you first on Telegram or Twitter. There are active scammers impersonating me right now, and heartbreakingly, someone just lost ~$50K to one of them. I am now only using Warpcast DMs to communicate. Please stay vigilant and quadruple check before trusting any message. Stay safe.

Another benefit of Farcaster! I can even check to see what wallet is attached to make sure I’m not dealing with an imposter!

This topic is very difficult. Most scams consist of someone offering us a call and either sending us a malicious link or persuading us to install malicious software that is supposed to help us make the call. I care about security myself, but each of us has a bad day when we do a million tasks and then it's easy to fall victim to a scam. In the case of Base, maybe a good solution would be to enable confirmation of the identity of the person who is talking to us through the Coinbase Wallet? Banks verify their employees through applications in this way if someone calls us. I know Aneri that you never write to anyone first in DM, but it may be worth thinking about such a security protocol, where someone can simply verify somebody onchain in Coinbase Wallet?
